Healthy reference

The poster shows optimal growth as vigorous new growth, robust fan growth, healthy foliage and strong shoot tips.

Iron and manganese patterns

Iron deficiency is shown affecting new growth first, starting with interveinal chlorosis while veins stay sharply green.

Iron mid to late stages show stronger yellowing, then nearly white or bleached leaves with necrosis at the margins and stunted growth.

Manganese deficiency is shown affecting new and middle leaves, beginning with mottled interveinal chlorosis and small brown specks before progressing to necrotic spotting, curl and premature leaf drop.

Zinc pattern

Early zinc deficiency is shown as small narrow new leaves with interveinal yellowing.

Mid stage shows rosetting at shoot tips, shortened internodes and twisted leaves.

Late stage shows severe twisting, necrotic growth and shoot tip dieback.
